Black Is Back! – New Video Game Releases – 16/11/2012

It is that time of year again folks, when we see Activision releasing yet another Call Of Duty game into the wild, and this Call Of Duty is a sequel to the biggest selling Call Of Duty game in the series, Black Ops.

That is right, Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 is a game many first person shooter nuts have been waiting to get their hands on for some time now.  The game was released on Tuesday and had game shops all over the world opening at midnight so the dedicated could get their mits on this futuristic shooter.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 take a new direction by setting the game in a futuristic environment and take the series into a new direction. Reviews have been mixed with some claiming it doesn’t work so well with a lot criticising the PlayStation 3’s online gameplay whilst others have been saying this is the best Call Of Duty game yet and is a step in the right direction.

A couple weeks back Assassin’s Creed III launched on consoles, and the PS Vita got its own version called Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation. This week also has the release of an exclusive PS Vita Call Of Duty under the guise of Call Of Duty Black: Ops Declassified. This one has been made by Sony’s Nihilistic who also made Resistance Burning Skies. What’s worrying is there is only 1 review so far online giving it a 1/5 and claims it’s a complete mess.

Speaking of Sony they have also released the rather interesting Wonderbook: Book Of Spells that utilises the PlayStation Move to conjure spells from Harry potter. J.K. Rowling has had a part in creating the game and it looks like this is a game that will appeal to kids and Harry Potter fans alike.

Other games that kids may like this week are The Cube, Monster High: Skultimate Roller Maze, Nickelodeon Team Umizoomi, Dora and Friends’: Fantastic Flight, Nintendo Presents: New Style Boutique.

Urging to play a new Mario Kart game? Well tough luck a new Mario Kart has bot been released but better yet Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed is out on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PS Vita, 3DS, Wii and soon the Wii U. Review have been strong citing that this is a karting game that closely rivals Nintendo’s  Mario Kart and features some rather cool aeroplane and speedboat transformations when racing. It also features a full roster of Sega characters.

Another Karting game F1 Race Stars on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 has not fared so well and is apparently a bit of a hit and miss affair.

Ubisoft release yet another dancing game called The Hip Hop Dance Experience on the Xbox 360 and Wii. If you like dancing you might like it, that is if you haven’t had enough of dancing games. The Struggling THQ also release Saints Row: The Third – The Full Package which includes 3 bonus missions, 30 new weapons and outfits. Its deffo worth a gander if you haven’t tried it yet.

Last up we have a new Rabbids game on the 3DS called Rabbids: RumbleLet’s hope its better than the really crappy Rabbids Lost In Time. We also have a Rugby game for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 called Rugby League Live 2.
