Ubisoft have been hard at work for a few years creating a new chapter in the Assassin’s Creed series with Assassin’s Creed III that puts you in the shoes half-English and half-Native American, Connor Kenway as you play through the American revolution.
This has to be the biggest Assassin’s Creed yet with a huge open world to explore. Its apparently a mix between Red Dead Redemption, Metal Gear Solid and Assassin’s Creed.
A lot of the gameplay has been tweaked compared to the other Assassin’s Creed games to make close combat more fluid. Ubisoft have also implemented a really good multilayer experience but has come under some criticism for having micro transactions.
Reviews have been fairly strong claiming this is the most ambitious game in the series so far but does fall short due to some irritating bugs and in some parts having PlayStation 2 style graphics. The story is apparently fantastic and some of the new weapons and settings have been getting rave reviews.
The PS Vita also gets its own exclusive Assassins Creed game called Assassin’s Creed III Liberation that has you playing as a female assassin set in the same universe as Assassin’s Creed III. This one has had some mixed opinions and reviews. The story is not the best and it suffers from some bad controls in parts. It looks really good though.
All you racing fans have been spoilt with last weeks Forza Horizon, well this week we have the amazing Need for Speed: Most Wanted made by Criterion who are the guys behind the hugely successful Burnout series.
Criterion are now the dudes in charge on the Need for Speed games and what a great choice EA have made. These guys know how to make amazing racing games and have really gone to town with Need for Speed: Most Wanted.
Reviews has been very good with some saying this is one of the best Need for Speed games yet and the best racing game this year. Myself and Paul had a go of Need for Speed: Most Wanted at PlayExpo and it was exceptionally good. If you like Bunout and frantic racing games you will love this.
Interestingly it looks like a lot of time has been spent on the PS Vita version of Need for Speed: Most Wanted with reviews stating its almost as good as its console brother and has received some very strong scores. .
Silent Hill: Book Of Memories for the PS Vita should have been released on Halloween considering its a scary game, I’m sure that would have boosted sales. Either way its not received very good reviews ,saying its a really bad dungeon crawler and the idea for the game is poorly executed.
Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2013 looks like an interesting game. You can buy it with an optional gun that can detect your heartbeat and this adjusts the accuracy of the game. Usually Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts are a mixed bag so be cautious and wait for review before buying it.
Other than the above games there dosent seem to be many others apart from. Dragon Ball Z: Budokai – HD Collection which features Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 1 and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 in a new lick of HD paint, Nike+ Kinect Training that will surely keep you fit coming up to the Christmas period, and Batman: Arkham City: Game Of The Year Edition which has to be the best superhero game this gen.
