Battle In A Field? – New Releases – 28/10/2011

From what we can tell there is nothing of interest out this week, nah we are only messing. EA and DICEs so called Call Of Duty killer, Battlefield 3 is finally out and to very lacklustre reviews unfortunately.

Reviews seem to suggest that the PC version is the best one to get with an average score of 98/100. The Playstation 3 is your next best bet with an average score of 86/100 which is closely followed by the Xbox 360 version which gets an average score of 83/100.

Whilst there is not much difference in the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 version, the PC really does wipe its bottom with the latter two versions, with reviewers claiming that the graphics and gameplay far surpass what the current generation of consoles has to offer. Battlefield 3′s main letdown is its single-player experience, if this is the reason you are buying I would not recommend it as most reviews are claiming that it is not very good. If you are after a multiplayer experience, Battlefield 3 is definitely worth a sniff at, as it is quite good and offers some unique elements.

So all this hype and Battlefield 3 is just kinda average with a lot of issues? Well do not worry because EA and DICE have promised a huge day one patch to address some of its faults.

Sega have a treat for halloween with its House Of The Dead Overkill which is an on rails shooter for the Playastation 3. This was one of my all time favorite Wii games and has been specially converted into HD and works with the Playstation Move.

Although Nintendo maybe slightly struggling at the moment it does not stop the big N from making fab games. This week they release Kirby: Mass Attack on the DS which is ment to be a bit like Pikmin and has gained high praise. Would you expect anything less from a Kirby game?

Disney’s much advertised Disney Universe is out on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii and is ment to be rather good, with main focus on multiplayer and looks like it could be a big game with the kids. Please note that I do not watch the Disney Chanel (honestly).

Exclusive Kinect Sports: Season 2 is out on the Xbox 360, apparently If you where not a fan of the first Kinect Sports its not really worth giving this a go, if on the other hand, you loved Kinect sports you might like to note there are some cool new features and its much of the same really.

Looks like Ubisoft want to steal Kinect Sports: Season 2′s thunder by releasingMotionsports: Adrenaline on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. I would not hold your breath though as the original Motionsports was considered one of the worst games last year. Ubisoft also releases NICIS on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, DS, PC and 3Ds.

On a final note, Ski-Doo: Chalenge for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 is out. I know this is a game most people would choose over Battlefield 3 (only messing).

Next week: Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception (PS3), Sonic Generations (PS3, 360),GoldenEye 007 Reloaded (PS3, 360), Blackwater (360), Bermuda Triangle (Wii), BlazBlue Continuum Shift II (PSP, 3DS), Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten (PS3), DoDonPachi Resurrection (360), Generator Rex: Agent of Providence (PS3, 360, Wii, DS, 3DS), Go Vacation (Wii), Grease (360, PS3), Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky (PSP), Persona 2 Innocent Sin (PSP), Raving Rabbids Alive and Kicking (360) and Zoobles (DS)
